Vu sur France2.
An average family comedy with a few jokes bordering on critics/satire but never making the jump (a missed occasion). The problem is similar with everything: the characters are never really endearing, Chabat isn't really funny, the comedy is too light (a few smiles), the action and the magical side could have been good but are just acceptable, etc.
Attempts to touch a few subjects are obviously made but immediately aborted or repeated without ever going further over the course of the film (money).
It also falls into over-americanization toward the end, including the US films mandatory chase, CGI heavy magical show and final wonderful moment (this one being almost okay).
Score: 5/10
Plaisir: 3/5
The constant flow of guest-stars seemed a bit invasive at times.
