Personally having known Noel Sayre, and the pain behind this album, there is no way I could give it any less than 10.

Noel was an amazing musical talent and wonderful person, who lost his life way too soon. It was a shattering echo that started in his hometown and reached out very far to his fans. If you were ever so lucky to see him play his violin, it would move your heart and soul. He had passion for his instrument, and it came so easy to him.

Noel passed away in 2008, while this album was being recorded. Needless to say he did not get to finish and it took years for the band to finish the album. In 2011 it was released. It has taken me until now, 2015, to finally sit down and listen. Hearing his beautiful melody swaying in the background truly makes the music what it is, and I understand why they have not released any more albums without him.

The album itself was modeled off of Willie Nelson's album, "Yesterday's Wine." Have a listen and know this band was a true musical brotherhood.

Writing His Final Chapter

This documentary is quite short and to the point, but very well done. I first heard about "Peter Bergmann" on the Thinking Sideways radio show, and was pointed in the direction of this short film. ...
